The drug companies and the our FDA are swinging happily together in the same hammock. Future profits for pharma are on the verge of soaring to even greater heights, all at the expense of the consumer's health and pocketbook. ..and it's going to get worse as the World Trade Organization continues its effort to force worldwide harmonization of supplement availability and potency standards (and yes the FDA and drug companies do indeed want this to happen because it translates to big $$$$) and will arrive here soon enough thanks to the passage of CAFTA (which included the Codex Alimentarius) by our wonderful Congress last summer.
Well.. the movie below on what happens when we become silent explains what is happening much better than I ever can. The narrator is the wonderful Dame Judi Dench.
It's about a 20 minute movie.. easy enough for interested high speed folks.. but a bit of a stretch for modem users (yet worth the wait because we all will be affected). bill
