Tomorrow we pack it up and head south toward DC. As I mentioned to Patti today, the biggest shock will hit us tomorrow afternoon when we take the on-ramp onto the New Jersey Turnpike and begin again to play "dodgeball" with a thousand and one other cars zooming along their ways. Although it is only a ten hour drive to home port, we'll probably stay in a motel monday night and make it back to DC sometime tuesday afternoon.
But what about today?
The sun did shine and we put on miles and miles of toodling around the lakes in our little boats. This time we took some bread with us to feed the duckies that live on a nearby beach.
Good thing they don't have teeth. When they try to grab the bread one is holding out to them, they will often miss the bread and get your fingers.
It does feel kind of weird to have a duck's mouth try to pull your finger off. They get all shakey-like and it kinda tickles.

So we hung out with the funny ducks for awhile and then decided to ply our way back home. (there were lots more ducks than the 3 in this photo.. like about 20 or more)
Patti still had a few bread pieces left so she fed them from the kayak.

They splash and squawk and carry on like crazy.
I'm glad I'm not a duck. I'd rather carry on like crazy in my own little way.. which is maybe what I'm doing right now.
Quack.. and goodnight!
