Splish! Splash! we was taken a Kayak..

Incredible hassles (like 3+ hours of multiple phone calls to ISP support) in trying to secure an internet connection to this phone line here. I'm "telephone stress exhausted" ..but the damn thing finally works. I'm not sure any of you reading this are really worth it! (just kidding)

Nevertheless.. we are here in the middle of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. The weather is just about perfect and we've been doing our little Kayaking thing.

Patti got in her kayak, started paddling like crazy but she just couldn't figure out why she wasn't moving. I sat down on the beach and watched her for awhile and also tried to figure out what the problem was.

Well, after about an hour or so of watching her waving the paddle around like a lunatic, and still not moving an inch, we decided to get out the "Professional Kayaking Manual" to see if we could determine what the problem was.

On page 2 of the manual it says.. "after sitting comfortably down in the Kayak, have your assistant give the kayak a big ole push off the sand, and into the water ye shall go."

Hot damn! I think we got it. So I gave her a shove off the sand and away she did go.
Hey we ain't so dumb!

(maybe this also explains why it took 3 hours to connect to the internet) Hmmmmmmmm.
maybe.

Anyway.. it's late now on a monday evening.. we're tired from all the paddling around.. so for a first Adirondack entry to our journal, I guess this will just have to do.

bill and patti out for the night and puttin' out the light.
