About Net Neutrality (again)

(bill post)
For those of us struggling (meaning me) to understand what "net neutrality" is about, this 2-minute video explains it so even my little brain can finally "get it".
Network Neutrality means anyone can access web content (as you are doing now in reading our "blob") or anyone can publish web content (as I am doing now in posting this entry) and neither of us will be restricted in doing so. We are in near danger of having this freedom quietly slipped out from underneath us. Watch the video.
Network Neutrality is the first amendment at work in the 21st Century.
But this administration and congressional members, both Republicans and Democrats are more concerned about their relationships to big business $$$$ than to our individual rights in maintaining our currently equal access to the Internet.

It probably won't do a dust speck worth of good (money has a way of making things happen even when it is not in the best interests of the many), but those of us who do care can send a letter or fax to our own state's congressional representatives and at least let our feelings about this be known. At least we can say we tried and maybe with a little luck our words might even be read.

Here's the links to find and send an email to your state's senators and to find and send an email to your district Representative.

I also created (and sent) a letter that if anyone wants to copy and paste to send to your own state's senators & reps, let me know.

..and here's more info on this greedy corporate and government shit if anyone else is also interested.

I think I'll go take a walk now. It's nice and rainy outside.
