The weather finally cleared off this afternoon and so we took off across the lake on our kayaks.
Patti (in her endearing ways) somehow managed to get herself and her little boat stuck on a rock that lurked just under the surface. There she was, dead in the water and flailing around helpless as a beached whale. Fortunately I was following her and.. (heheh) caught the whole episode on video. (which I can't post until after we get back to DC).
Well, in any case I decided it was best that I not just sit there and laugh but come to fair damsel's rescue. After a couple minutes of positioning my own kayak so I could give her a shove backwards, we succeeded in freeing her up and disaster was avoided.
The weather folks say blue skies and sunshine tomorrow, so we shall see what more adventure lies in wait for us.
