The World is filled with moving parts

Photobucket

..and it is time to kick one of my own parts up a notch.

Greetings to all that I've sent notice to!

For quite some time now I've been wanting to take a road trip as Skip and Patti and I had done a number of times in the past. Road trips with friends were always enjoyable and filled with laughter. It is now time for me to venture forth once again into the wilds (ok, maybe not so wild as in the past) but still to venture forth and see what Life presents to me.

Even though my two past travelin' buddies have truly passed into and are on the Greatest "road trip of all", I like to think that they still will be coming with me (with all of us) to experience the pleasures of being on the road. As with all road trips, no doubt some dis-pleasures will be tossed into the mix as well, but that too is a part of the little adventure and adds immeasurably to the story telling after all is said and done and life returns to normal routine.

I have recently purchased my first laptop which is WiFi enabled (I guess they are all WiFi fixed at this point in computer evolution) and I intend on blogging the whole damn journey. At least as much as I can.
I've rigged out the back of the pick-up you see above to enable me to sleep, cook, and blog. All I need to do is drive around until I find an open wireless signal to swipe a little bandwidth from and upload my detritus onto this site.
I suspect I can do this easily enough since so many businesses and homes are now wireless connected.
It should be fun for me..hopefully not too boring for you.

I'm not going to reveal the whole plan for the plan will probably change. Staying open to change is a key note here and watching out for what or who presents themselves to me, any single thing can change my whole time line for not only the trip but perhaps beyond as well. As we all know in looking over our pasts that the slightest of our decisions can have the greatest of effects down the road.
One never really knows about such things now do we..?..

"Presentments" [not presentiments..geesh I hate typos!] Presentments: What is being presented to me, here and now for me to act or not act upon will also be a key feature to my little road trip.
And Good Gawd Laud a-mercy! We'll even have some High-def Video! Just don't expect it to be too polished coming out of my VERY SMALL studio in the back of my pickup truck.

Here's a 60 sec sample: (Barbara, never trust me when I have my camera out.. I can be a sneaky Paparrazi. Besides, no one can tell that your clothes are filthy and your wig is on crooked :-D)
(oooo I'm gonna pay for that)

So.. Come along. Let's see what happens. Feel free to comment at the bottom of any page. It's all for simple fun...and the more comments there are makes for even more fun reading by everyone else. Don't be shy... shyness gets you nowhere, haven't we all learned that by now?
One of Patti's favorite sayings was "Love is being stupid together" and she and I certainly proved the truth of that practically everyday she was not feeling down. Being stupid together on a road trip is also a good thing. We all like comments which often leads to even more desirable idiocy. Let yourselves go. I obviously will be doing so. Update: For those of you unfamiliar with posting a comment: Hit the "anonymous" button or "name/url" button.. write your message.. preview and make any corrections..and hit the "publish" button. It's all very simple and you DO NOT need to get a Google account to post a comment.

I take off Wednesday morning (North and East) and should have another post sometime Thursday. I hope. Blogging with photos and video to edit can take time behind the computer. In any case I'll send off a notice to all as updates are created. (Some of us are at the age where we need to be reminded occasionally..often..all the time. :-)
see ya all on the road.

oh btw, sorry about messing up the link in the email notice. Gmail links things a little differently than yahoo and I messed it up. (I'm just getting senile, can't ya tell?)
Also if I missed anybody and you happen to be reading this, send me an email and I'll add you to the list serve.
