This blogging on the road is a bit more difficult than anticipated and I'm certainly behind with it all. I had hoped to have something posted on Friday but discovered that when there are friends around, the talking (hence the title "yapping chihuahuas".. Bob & Barbara & Selma and myself)and exploring the island, well it all becomes non-stop. There simply is no time to stop and edit photos and video and then drive to find someplace that has wireless and then to post it all to this blog. I'm about 3 days behind in my intentions to blog my travels.
First stop was Martha's Vineyard.
These two short video below gets me started on the journey and hopefully as the days go by I can catch you all up on more current events.
Yesterday morning we left Martha's Vineyard, caught the ferry to cross over into the mainland and after a breakfast at a dumpy diner (but much better than my road stop breakfast!) we then parted company.
Bob and Barbara headed back south to DC and I turned tail and drove north into the Adirondack National Park, about a 6 hour journey.
Oh I must not forget to take a moment of appreciation for our gracious host on Martha's Vineyard.
Selma is her name and being a wonder is her Game.
Selma is 92 years old. She is sharp as a tack.. spends a good deal of time on line and is a wonder to behold. So THANK YOU SELMA for letting me come and stay with you for those few days. It was a pleasure to meet you and perhaps we can do it again someday.
Here's the photo of you that we all got a chuckle from. I'll email the higher resolution copy to you after I get back to DC.

Stay tuned.... bill
