DC's first snowfall

Oh you poor, poor Florida folks. (sister, nephew & family, Bob & Francie, Laraine & Don) Never again getting to experience the beauty and the wonder of the first snow of the year.
Yesterday it started in on us here in the Washington, DC area.
It was great.
I was helping my friends the Smuuuuckers paint their basement but just had to go outside to play a little in the snow.
Perfect snowball-making snow to throw at the camera man.

SPLAT!
Gotcha! hope my camera survived..hmmm

It snowed big wet flakes for hours yesterday afternoon and into the early evening. After all was said and done it looks to be around 4 or 5 inches had accumulated.

Of course it won't hang around long and that's ok too. (it's not a lot of fun to drive in.)
Here's some higher rez images I also took.
