Time to run

..but not just yet.

I'm fogged in.

It was a fitful night because of the cold. Next time I will bring two sleeping bags, one to crawl into and the other to put on top of me. In the night, laying there awake, curled up, I wondered how homeless people with their stolen grocery cart of bagged possessions manage to sleep out in the woods.
They are certainly a lot tougher than I could hope to be.
Damn it was cold.

I arose about 7 this morning hoping to get a good jump on the day in heading for home. Not gonna happen.

The campgrounds was fairly high up in elevation and after driving to the lower lands this great mass of fog presented itself to me.
There was no telling how far it extended and to attempt to drive it would be stressful at least and disastrous at most.

I decided to pull into the next town, get some coffee, find a "hot spot" for my internet link and just wait it out.
At the moment (8:30am) I am parked outside a little village's Chamber of Commerce in the south part of the ADK park.
Again, available Wifi for people to use.
Only on this side of the building can I connect with you all.
The other side is a dead zone.

Time for another cup of coffee.
The sun is now out and trying to burn the gray stuff off. The road is a little better than what you see in the photo. I'll give it another half hour and then take off. If it's still too much I'll stop at the next town and have breakfast. That should do it.
I've got a long ways to go and may not make home by tonight because of this later than anticipated blast off.

But then again, ooooohh the thought of a hot tubby and crawling into our big cozy bed tonight might just drive this old horse to near exhaustion. We'll see.

Now.. what did I do with that Interstate Highway..?

Almost time to giddy-up GO!

until tomorrow..
